"Welcome to UPWP#1. This is a zine about radical runeworking, spiritual healing, and one person's struggle to come into harmony with All. It includes many forms of poetry, yantras (gateways to Tantric deities) and many things happy, sad, strange and far-reaching. It touches briefly on a period of horrible darkness in my life, when I met the Goddess (or seemed to), had a breakdown, had to leave town, and became schizophrenic...
So what IS a witchpunk? Well, if you've ever felt like a circle pit was a collective exorcism, you might know. Punk culture is very magickal in a lot of ways, being all about reinchanting the world, breaking down unhealthy heirarchy, and saving the earth. This zine touches on the ways that I've witnessed punks, radicals, homeless people, and angry trannies (including myself) perform acts of incredible power far beyond the realm of ordinary reality. Please read it with an open mind, and enjoy the journey."
